Five days is enough time to see three very different sides of North India, if the route is planned right. KoiKoi Travel built this trip to cover the essentials — Delhi's mix of old and new, the Taj Mahal at its early-morning best, and Amritsar Golden Temple — without the trip feeling rushed.
You'll start in Delhi, take a day trip down to Agra to see the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, then head northwest by train to Amritsar for the Golden Temple and the evening flag ceremony at the Wagah Border. From there, it's back to Delhi for a last day of sightseeing before your flight home.

Day By Day Itinerary
Day 1:Arrival in Delhi
Your KoiKoi Travel representative will be waiting at the arrival lounge to take you straight to your hotel. If your flight lands with enough daylight left, head out to Akshardham for the evening — the temple complex is worth the visit on its own, and the musical fountain show after dark is a nice way to ease into the trip. The short metro ride there and back is half the fun.

Day 2:Same-Day Agra Excursion
You're up early for the roughly four-hour drive to Agra. A local guide meets you on arrival and takes you straight to the Taj Mahal — nothing quite prepares you for that first view through the entrance gate. From there, it's a short drive to Agra Fort, where the sandstone ramparts give you a completely different feel for Mughal-era Agra. By late afternoon, you're back on the road to Delhi.

Day 3:Delhi to Amritsar by Train
Breakfast is served on board as your train heads northwest to Amritsar. Once you arrive, your KoiKoi Travel representative meets you on the platform for the transfer to your hotel. Later in the day, head out to the Wagah Border — the atmosphere here builds fast, with crowds cheering on both sides as the flag comes down each evening. It's one of those experiences that's hard to describe until you've stood in the middle of it.

Day 4:Amritsar Sightseeing to Delhi by Train
Start the day at the Golden Temple, ideally before the crowds build — the reflection in the surrounding pool is one of those sights that photos never quite capture. A short walk away, Jallianwala Bagh offers a quieter, more reflective stop. Spend the afternoon browsing Amritsar's markets and trying the local food before boarding your evening train back to Delhi, where your KoiKoi Travel representative will be waiting at the platform.

Day 5:Delhi Sightseeing & Departure
After checking out, spend your last morning taking in Old and New Delhi. Jama Masjid's courtyard is a good place to start, followed by a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk's packed lanes — spice and dry fruit stalls line the route the whole way. In New Delhi, you'll pass India Gate, the President's House, and Parliament House, then visit Humayun's Tomb and finish at the Qutab Minar. In the evening, transfer to Delhi Airport for your onward flight.
