Day By Day Itinerary
1Day 1:Delhi - Neemrana - Alwar
Your adventure begins in Delhi with a private drive towards Rajasthan.
Make your first stop at Neemrana, a historic destination known for its impressive fort-palace and beautiful surroundings. Take some time to explore the area and enjoy the change from Delhi's busy streets to the quieter Rajasthan landscape.
Continue towards Alwar, set against the Aravalli Hills and known for its combination of heritage, lakes and natural surroundings.
After reaching Alwar, check into your hotel and relax.
If your arrival time allows, take a short drive through the city or visit a local market to get your first feel for Alwar.
Overnight: Alwar
2Day 2:Explore Alwar
After breakfast, spend the day discovering the heritage and natural beauty of Alwar.
Begin with Alwar City Palace, where grand courtyards and historic architecture provide an introduction to the city's royal past.
Continue to Moosi Maharani Ki Chhatri, an elegant memorial known for its detailed architecture and peaceful surroundings.
Later, travel towards Siliserh Lake, where the Aravalli landscape creates a relaxing setting away from the busy city.
Take some time to enjoy the views, capture photographs and simply slow down.
If time permits, explore Alwar's older market areas before returning to your hotel.
Overnight: Alwar
3Day 3:Alwar - Sariska Wildlife Safari - Alwar
Today the itinerary moves from heritage to wildlife adventure.
After breakfast, drive towards Sariska Tiger Reserve, located in the forested Aravalli landscape.
Depending on safari permits and the operating schedule, enjoy a jeep or canter safari through the reserve.
Keep your eyes open as you travel through dry forests, valleys and rocky terrain. The reserve provides habitat for sambar, spotted deer, nilgai, wild boar, langurs and numerous bird species. Tiger sightings are possible but never guaranteed because animals move freely through their natural habitat.
The safari is also a wonderful opportunity for wildlife photography. Listen for bird calls, watch the forest edges and keep your camera ready for unexpected encounters.
After the safari, return to Alwar and spend the evening relaxing at your hotel.
Overnight: Alwar
4Day 4:Alwar - Bharatpur
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey towards Bharatpur.
Your route includes a stop at Deeg, a historic town associated with the former rulers of Bharatpur.
Explore the beautiful Deeg Palace complex, with its gardens, pavilions, water features and impressive architecture. Take time to walk through the grounds and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
After sightseeing, continue to Bharatpur and check into your hotel.
The rest of the evening is free. You can relax at the hotel or explore the surrounding area at your own pace.
Overnight: Bharatpur
5Day 5:Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary - Agra
Wake up ready for one of the most rewarding nature experiences of the tour.
Visit Keoladeo National Park, widely known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. This wetland landscape is one of the key birdwatching destinations on the itinerary.
Explore the park according to local arrangements, with options that may include cycle rickshaw, bicycle or walking.
Take your time watching the wetlands and surrounding vegetation. Depending on the season, you may encounter storks, herons, egrets, ducks, kingfishers, raptors and other bird species.
This is an ideal part of the journey for birdwatchers and photographers. Bring binoculars and a suitable camera lens, and allow yourself time to observe rather than simply passing through.
After your birdwatching experience, return to the hotel, check out and drive towards Agra.
After arrival, check into your hotel.
If your schedule permits, enjoy an evening view of the Taj Mahal from a suitable riverside viewpoint or explore a local Agra market.
Overnight: Agra
6Day 6:Taj Mahal - Agra Fort - Delhi Departure
Your final morning begins with one of India's most recognisable sights — the Taj Mahal.
Visit the monument early in the day when the atmosphere is generally more comfortable for sightseeing and photography. Walk through the gardens and admire the intricate marble architecture.
Next, visit Agra Fort, another major landmark showcasing the architectural and imperial heritage of the Mughal era.
If time permits, browse local handicraft shops before beginning your drive back to Delhi.
On arrival in Delhi, you will be transferred to your airport, hotel or another agreed location.
Your 6 Days Wildlife and Birdwatching Tour with Taj Mahal ends with a unique combination of Rajasthan wildlife, Bharatpur birdwatching, heritage sightseeing and Agra's Mughal landmarks.
